12024 [the end of data]

AWR Music Productions is proud to partner with legendary video game developer SQUARE ENIX to present a phenomenal multimedia production: ‘NieR:Orchestra Concert 12024 [the end of data]’.

With symphony orchestra and chorus under the direction of conductor Eric Roth, the performance features the solo vocals of original NieR series singers Emi Evans and J’nique Nicole, as well as a specially created program with HD video projections from NieR series director Yoko Taro and composer Keiichi Okabe.

In addition, the concert features a recorded reading by 2B (voiced by Kira Buckland) and 9S (voiced by Kyle McCarley) in a new episode written by director Yoko Taro.

Director | Yoko Taro

Born in 1970. Born in Aichi Prefecture. After graduating from Kobe Design University, he worked for Namco Inc. (currently Bandai Namco Studios) and Sony Computer Entertainment Inc. before joining Cavia Inc. After gaining experience as a designer, he directed the Drakengard series and NieR Gestalt/Replicant for SQUARE ENIX.

After leaving Cavia Inc., he launched BUKKORO and released NieR: Automata in 2017. He serves as creative director for the latest work Voice of Cards series, also by SQUARE ENIX.

His unique worldview and stories are known as "YOKO-world," and he has worked on a wide range of projects, including the smartphone game SINoALICE and NieR Re[in]carnation as well as the comic Thou Shalt Not Die and Yoshinoya Brothers and stage play scenarios.

Composer | Keiichi Okabe

Born in 1969. Born in Hyogo Prefecture. After graduating from the Department of Visual Information Design at Kobe Design University, he worked for Namco Inc. (currently Bandai Namco Studios) before establishing Monaka Ltd. in 2004.

Worked on music for NieR Gestalt/Replicant in 2010, Drag on Dragoon 3 in 2013, and NieR:Automata in 2017, and other NieR games.

He creates catchy music from lyrical melodic vocal songs to danceable tracks for anime and games as his main platform.

Major works: NieR series, SINoALICE, TV anime series Yuki Yuna is a Hero, etc.

Producer | Yosuke Saito

Born in 1970. Born in Kanagawa Prefecture. After graduating from Kanagawa University, he joined SQUARE ENIX in 1993.

He worked on Dragon Quest X Online, Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age, NieR series, and Voice of Cards series. In addition, he is currently the producer of the idol group GEMS COMPANY.

His NieR series credits include NieR Gestalt/Replicant, NieR:Automata, NieR Re[in]carnation, and NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139.

Vocalist | Emi Evans

Her breakout in the world of videogames was with Square Enix's award-winning soundtrack to NieR (2010) which captivated fans with her signature "Chaos Language," taking modern-day languages and imagining how they'd sound centuries or millennia into the future. Emi has collaborated with renowned Japanese game composers Keiichi Okabe, Motoi Sakuraba, Norihiko Hibino, Nobuo Uematsu, Yuzo Koshiro, and others. She was also a featured vocalist on Octave Theory, an album by Nobuo Uematsu's rock band, The Earthbound Papas. She contributed to Square Enix's NieR:Automata in 2017 whose soundtrack won the Soundtrack of the Year award at The Game Awards that same year. The NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139 soundtrack allowed Emi to reprise her role, re-recording her original songs and the score won soundtrack of the year at The Game Awards in 2021. Her performance on “Song of Ancients” from the NieR series was played twice during the opening ceremonies of the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo (held in 2021).

Vocalist | J'nique Nicole

J’Nique Nicole is an American singer/songwriter from Nashville, Tennessee, based in Tokyo, Japan.

She has lived in Japan for nearly 8 years, and aside from NieR:Automata, works as a backing vocalist for two prominent artists on the Japanese R&B scene, Kubota Toshinobu and Ai. She has released 2 official singles called Black Girl Magic & BAE and is set to release her album titled This Is Only the Beginning this year!

She enjoys laughing, going to the beach, spending time with family and friends, dabbling in makeup and fashion and all things Hello Kitty!

Conductor | Eric Roth

AWR Music’s Eric Roth is a formidable musical force: a music director/conductor, an orchestrator/arranger, a producer of concerts and recordings, a composer of original music, and much more.  

Eric is the music director and chief arranger for A New World: intimate music from FINAL FANTASY, the chamber music ensemble concert production by AWR Music Productions and video game developer SQUARE ENIX. Since premiering in 2014, the production has performed hundreds of concerts on four continents and released two acclaimed full-length recordings. He is also the associate music director and an orchestrator/arranger for Distant Worlds: music from FINAL FANTASY, the global live orchestral performance phenomenon.

Conductor | Arnie Roth

The conductor and Music Director of the original NieR:Orchestra Concert re: 12018 Tour, Arnie is perhaps best known as the music director, producer, and conductor of the global live orchestral performance phenomenon Distant Worlds: music from FINAL FANTASY in collaboration with video game company SQUARE ENIXFeaturing the music of beloved composer Nobuo Uematsu and other composers from throughout the FINAL FANTASY franchise, Distant Worlds: music from FINAL FANTASY has sold out hundreds of concerts in the most storied venues in the world including Tokyo's International Forum, London's Royal Albert Hall, New York's Carnegie Hall, Australia's Sydney Opera House, and many more. He was also the producer of five Distant Worlds: music from FINAL FANTASY albums and several DVD and Blu-ray's of concerts.
